In Tekla Structures, excessively long elements on drawings are automatically shortened. A gap appears in the middle of the view, where a symbol indicating the shortening is drawn. Tekla tip #6: Extend dimension line

In our studies, we learned that dimension lines should extend slightly beyond the endpoints by 1-2 mm. However, in Tekla Structures, the default setting causes dimension lines to end flush with no extension. To achieve extended dimension lines, I need to manually adjust this setting for each project. It’s crucial to do this before generating drawings, as this option won’t affect dimensions that have already been created.
