There is possibility to hide workarea symbol in model views. There are two ways to do it: tempolary and permanent.
Tempolary hidding workarea:
You can do it with key combination ctrl+shift+”Redtaw view”
Permanent hiding workarea:
You can do it with option: XS_HIDE_WORKAREA = TRUE
